ABOUT THE PROJECT

It has been my lifetime dream to create my garden in the England. The gentleness of the climate and soft light offer a contrast to the often harsh Australian conditions. The 16th century stone cottage located in an ancient Saxon village in the Cotswolds provided me with a space in which to fulfill all my childhood dreams. The former mainly lawned garden has been replaced with deep beds of flowering perennials, punctuated with fanciful clipped Yew shapes, a garden in which I can experiment with a wealth of plants I cannot source in the southern hemisphere. The front gravel garden with its central old bronze cheese making vessel as a water feature is planted with clouds of box balls and softened by small perennials that flourish growing in loose pebbles.
